Hotel Riu Monica - Adults Only - Nerja

We decided to stay just on the outskirts of Nerja town and booked a hotel virtually on the beach with a key pad lock. the location was perfect as it was just a short walk to the promenade where we could enjoy the beautiful views. the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and all the amenities we needed. the service at the hotel was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. One of the highlights for us was the delicious breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of choices to suit everyone's taste. We also had the pleasure of enjoying the stunning view of the beach while dining in the restaurant which we came to refer to as the canteen.

We did find that the pool area was quite crowded at times, making it difficult to find available sun loungers.

The hotel had a great location, just a short walk from the center and surrounded by bars where drinks were cheaper. Our room was comfortable with large twin beds and a partial sea view. The shower was strong and the air conditioning worked excellently.

Some aspects of the room design were inconvenient, like the glass partition separating the bathroom from the sleeping area, which meant turning on the light could disturb others. The towels provided were small, and there was no kettle or coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

The hotel was beautifully clean and had great service. the facilities were amazing, including a delightful pool. the buffet-style starters and varied selection of fish, meats, salad, and veggies in the restaurant were delicious. the desserts were delightful. One thing I especially liked was the great location of the hotel and the variety of restaurants and bars nearby.

The early evening entertainment timing was not convenient. the price of the wine at dinner varied, and this could have been managed better.
